Russell is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. He completed his initial nursing training at the Phillips School of Nursing at Mount Sinai (New York, NY) and his psychiatric training at the University of Rochester.

Russell has experience working with a diverse set of mental illness and persons at Zucker Hillside Hospital and St. Johns Riverside Hospital.
