Psychotherapy

What is psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy or counseling, is a form of mental health treatment that involves a trained clinician helping individuals, couples, or groups address emotional, psychological, and behavioral issues. It is based on the idea that talking through problems and gaining insight into one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors can lead to improved mental well-being and the resolution of psychological difficulties.

What if I don't feel comfortable talking about certain things?

We understand that you may have reservations about discussing sensitive topics. That's completely okay! We at Werking Health will offer you a safe space for you to explore and share when you feel comfortable.

What should I expect during the first session?

Following your initial consultation, your clinician will take the time to familiarize themselves with both your mental health and medical background. This environment is a secure and welcoming space where you're encouraged to openly ask questions or share any information. Your treatment approach will be entirely tailored to your specific needs.

Our commitment is to be by your side as you embark on your path to healing and well-being.

Do I have to have a diagnosed mental health condition to benefit from therapy?

Nope! Everyone can benefit from psychotherapy and we want to be able to provide you with the outlet you need to express yourself.

Can psychotherapy be combined with medication management?

Yes, psychotherapy can be integrated with our medication management service. Many clients benefit from a combined approach, where both work together to address mental health or medical conditions comprehensively.

Medication Management

What is medication management?

Medication management is a healthcare service that helps people use their medications safely and effectively. It includes making sure the right medications are prescribed, monitoring how they work, and adjusting them as needed. This helps improve health outcomes and reduces the risk of problems with medications.

Why is medication management important?

Medication management is crucial to ensure that medications are working as intended, to minimize potential side effects, and to enhance overall health. It helps individuals achieve better treatment results and reduces the risks associated with medication use.

How does medication management work?

Our process involves an initial assessment of the client's health condition and medications. Regular follow-up appointments are scheduled to monitor progress, assess side effects, and make necessary adjustments to medication regimens.

Is medication management only for certain conditions?

No, medication management can be beneficial for a wide range of health conditions, including chronic illnesses, mental health disorders, and various other medical conditions.

How often are medications reviewed or adjusted?

The frequency of medication reviews and adjustments varies based on the client's individual needs and the nature of their condition. Some may require more frequent monitoring, while others may have less frequent check-ins. It's typically determined by your clinician based on the treatment plan.

Is medication management covered by insurance?

Insurance coverage for medication management varies depending on your specific insurance plan. It's advisable to check with your insurance provider to determine the extent of coverage and any associated costs.

What if I have concerns about my medications?

If you have concerns about your medications, it's essential to communicate openly with your clinician. They can address your concerns, provide guidance, and make necessary adjustments if required.

Can medication management be combined with psychotherapy?

Yes, medication management can be integrated with our psychotherapy service. Many clients benefit from a combined approach, where medication management and therapy work together to address mental health or medical conditions comprehensively.

What happens during a medication management session?

During a medication management session, your clinician will review your medical history, assess your current symptoms and medication regimen, and discuss any concerns or side effects you may be experiencing. Adjustments to medications may be made based on this evaluation.

How do I prepare for a medication management session?

To prepare for a medication management session, it's helpful to make a list of your current medications, any side effects you've noticed, and any questions or concerns you have about your treatment. Bringing this information to the session can facilitate a productive discussion.
